Hello! My name is Melody Heath and I am a Christian fiction author, although I do write some non-fiction.

I am simple. I love variety, coffee, and my front porch.

I love to be inspired, and as an author my goal is to inspire others.

What books have I written so far?

Where did my writing career begin?

As a teen I had written poems, I even began a book at one point. But mostly I wrote to only vent my emotions.

However, growing up I had teachers, family and friends constantly saying I should write a book – or anything. I said I would never do that because I hated writing.

One day as I sat on my porch the Lord told me to write a book and not only one book but two, a non-fiction and a fiction. I sat there alone with my mouth gaping open. This, of course, was something I never wanted to do.

I could understand the non-fiction. But I had not ever made up a story in my life. I didn’t understand how He expected me to write fiction.

Out of obedience, and nothing else, I began to search my heart. That is when the storyline all began to flow. It almost seemed like I couldn’t even write the ideas fast enough.

And that was the beginning of my first fiction novel, The Homeless Heart.

As it turned out fiction became my passion. I absolutely loved every minute of writing it. To my surprise, non-fiction was extremely hard for me to write.

Life did not start out easy for me and now I feel proud of that fact because I am strong and can be used as a tool to help others.

What am I currently doing?

I have just finished The Homeless Heart and am now on to the next book. I am in the ideas and outlining stage. I can hardly wait for the day I get to publish the next read for you guys!
